Worship Leader David Brian Hugo began his music career in the early eighties as the popular lead vocalist from the dynamic group “David Hugo and Special Way.” The trio was catipulted into the Gospel Music scene while performing as musical guests on the Praise the Lord television program on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. David continued on as a solo artist working with many popular televangelists such as the late Dr. D. James Kennedy and many others. His experience also includes working as a back-up vocalist for Grammy Award winner, Larnelle Harris. A graduate of the Dillard School of Performing Arts, David is also a gifted songwriter. His music has competed in several world events including the John Lennon International Competition and the Dove Awards in Nashville.
David’s gift of music is enjoyed by the thousands who have been blessed by his ministry over the years. Whether inside a church, a prison, or a conference, his uplifting music continues to inspire audiences of all ages.
David believes, “When we become a Christian, when we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, God gives us a new life. Therefore the very essence of our our new life should be to give thanks to the Lord for all He has done for us out of gratitude to Him. The Lord himself dwells within our praise. We worship God now and prepare ourselves for eternity, when we shall sing praises to the Lamb of God forever and ever.”
